Tomas Wässingbo

Tomas joined Zacco in 2015 as Patent Attorney. Tomas has profound experience of strategic aspects on how a company could use their patents and with management of patent portfolios in order to use valuable patents in different aspects.

Tomas comes from a position at Sony Mobile Communications AB in Lund where he has worked as an in-house Patent Attorney for 11 years. He has led a global patent group and has worked close with team members in Sweden, USA,  Japan and China to focus on using valuable patents for different IP businesses such as cross licensing, IP sales, out-licensing and dispute resolution.

At Zacco Tomas works with patent prosecution, patent portfolio strategy work, claim chart writing, FTO analysis, litigation support, oppositions, innovation and patent harvesting/mining.

Tomas works with patenting and technologies in the area of electronics, user interface, software applications, Internet of Things, digitalization and wireless communication technologies. Tomas has been working with telecom technology for 14 years.

Tomas has also worked as a Patent Examiner at the Swedish Patent Office. Tomas graduated as a M.Sc.EE from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm 2001.
