Louise has worked at Zacco since 2018. Louise is highly specialized in IP law with particular focus on trademark and design law. She drafts pleadings in application, opposition, revocation and appeals proceedings involving the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, including the work with preparing lists of goods and an IP strategy for protecting our clients’ IP assets.
Louise provides advice from a commercial perspective. One of her strengths lies in rethinking the client’s trademark challenges and then finding the most advantageous solution for the client. She has been-working at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office from 2006 to 2015 and comes most recently from a renowned Danish corporate law firm. She has been admitted to the Danish Bar in 2017.
Finally, Louise has substantial experience in lecturing and giving presentations in Denmark and abroad within the field of IP law. Additionally, Louise is a Co-author of “Trademark Protection in the European Union with a Scandinavian View”, published by Thomson Reuters, Blogger at the Kluwer Trademark Blog and she has written comment in European Intellectual Property Review (eipr), volume 39, issue 12, 2017 on ‘Geographical Indications are strong IP rights – or should be…’ In 2019, she was ranked by Managing Intellectual Property as a Rising Star, now she is listed as a Notable Practitioner.
