Sandra joined Zacco as an associate patent attorney in 2020. Prior to joining, she drafted patents in-house at a medical technology company, with a focus on machine learning and other data related inventions. She also has experience as a research biologist and a software developer.
Sandra has a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago in 2007, a JD from the University of Michigan in 2013, and an MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Copenhagen 2016, where she was a teaching assistant for the introduction course for machine learning. She is a registered attorney in the state of New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has been involved in patent litigation cases within life sciences.
