Hans C. Nielsen is Chief Operating Officer, Zacco group and regional director of Zacco Denmark & Germany.

Hans started his career in the IP industry in the early 1990s and joined Zacco as a patent attorney in 2007. Hans advanced to team manager in 2011, patent director in 2016, regional director Zacco Denmark and Sweden South and COO Zacco group in 2019.

Hans is a senior patent attorney and has vast experience in all fields within the IP industry. Hans excels in handling complex challenges and is known as a master of “the art of the impossible” amongst his clients, which means that Hans is likely to give unique advice in response to his clients’ opportunities and challenges.

Today, Hans is primarily focussing on management, M&A activities and key account management of domestic and large international clients. Moreover, Hans works with a unique 360° perspective on his clients’ intangible assets; from drafting and prosecution of patent applications, IPR strategy development and implementation, risk mitigation, oppositions, litigation, infringement evaluations and due diligences, to software developments and matters relating to digital trust and cyber security.

Prior to his employment with Zacco, Hans held several positions within the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. Further, Hans has extensive experience from operating a naval architecture consultancy.
