David’s career in patents started in 2008 at the Swedish Patent Office, where he was an Examiner and Search Expert. David joined private practice with Zacco in 2015 and qualified as a European Patent Attorney 2019.
David has a general interest in technology and his practice encompasses a wide range of technical fields, including the automotive, medtech, steel, paper and process Industries. Besides patent drafting and prosecution, David also has experience of assisting clients in implementing innovation and IP management processes in-house.
David graduated with a MSc. in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde. He holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Uppsala, and has completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Copenhagen in the field of molecular electronics.
David is a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI), and the Association of IP Professionals in Swedish Industry (SIPF).
In 2019 and 2020, he was ranked by Managing Intellectual Property as a Rising Star.
